| To tell the truth, I don't think we can name only one reason for our appalling fiasco... It seems to me that Russian failure has been gradually prepared - we've been pinning our hopes on a miracle for many decades thinking that the nation itself has some inborn talents which can't be spoiled. When the authorities started to make fuss about all the situation, it was already late. I don't say that nothing can be done now, but we shouldn't expect split-second success especially if there is no platform on which it can be attained. Of course, it's hard but breaking is not making, as the proverb says.
