| Hi, everyone! If you study English you should know that there are a lot of phrasal verbs and sometimes it is difficult to guess what they mean. I want to give some examples with the verb "to be".
1. The mother is at her son because his clothes became dirty again.(The mother is scolding)
2. Misha was away from the city during that holidays. (He was not in the city)
3. Little Jimmy is smiling. I bet he is up to some mischief again. (He wants to do it)
4. The wrap-over skirt is back again. ( It became modern again)
5. Ted is against cutting down the forests because it produces oxygen. (He is opposes)
6. The film was over and we left the cinema. (The film ended)
