1) Can you control your emotions?
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time?
3) Are you politically correct?
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others?
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values?
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour?
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions?

1) Can you control your emotions? Well, yes, I think I can. It's difficult for me to imagine a situation when I can lose control and behave hysterically, so, it makes me think that I can control my emotions.
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? No-no-no... one shouldn't suppress emotions, one should control them and don't let them achieve the “condition” when they are to be suppressed in order not to be expressed. Sounds weird, but I hope you'll get my idea)))
3) Are you politically correct? I doubt. Honestly, I've never thought about it before... And I never think about the rules like “don't say that, don't do this, it's politically incorrect”, so, may be sometimes my behaviour can't be regarded as PC.
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? I do avoid being emotionally abused and sometimes I manage to do it. And I never (or very rarely) use emotional abuse towards other people.
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? Both. The moments when they go hand in hand.
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? I try not to let my emotions control my behaviour and my deeds. And I hope other people try to do the same.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? It is a stereotype, but I doubt that it is true. Fortunately enough I rarely come across the very type of people who prefer to hide their emotions.
By Rina

1) Can you control your emotions? Yes, I suppose I can control my emotions. I lose my temper very-very rarely.
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? No! Definitely no! Why should we?instead of suppressing them one should release them!
3) Are you politically correct? Well... I even don't know what to answer... Maybe. Just never thought about it.
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? yes, of course. I think it's the worst means of communication.
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? If I say "spiritual", it will be lies. Because material possessions mean also a lot for me.
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? Yes, they can. If we let them. I try not to give them such a chance.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? I wouldn't say that. On the contrary, people find one very suspicious if he/she always hides his/her emotions.
By Asya

1) Can you control your emotions? I hope I can, but there are some moments in life when, I am convinced, you needn’t control you emotional outbursts. It’s just impossible for anyone to hold all the emotions in check.
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? You’d better at times because this won’t let you “get your fingers burned”. But I doubt we should be always emotionally reserved; no matter how hard we try, it is useless – our repressed emotions are leaking out in any case.
3) Are you politically correct? I try to be, and I do believe that political correctness is important. Even if you think it’s all nonsense, you’re very likely to offend other people’s feelings.
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? On the whole, yes, I try to be considerate and respective to my friends and relatives. But to be honest, I think a small portion of emotionally abusive reaction can sometimes be a remedy to a problem.
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? It is not the question which can be answered within a few sentences, so I prefer to avoid any explanations and just to spot the answer – spiritual.
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? Yes, the can and they do but the degree of such government is unsteady. Everything depends on a particular person. If one is able to rule one’s emotional reactions, then they will influence the behaviour very slightly.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? No, it’s just the opposite. To my mind people nowadays are more unfettered, frank, expansive; they prefer to speak their mind. And they are not afraid of showing their emotions in public.
By MissJane

1) Can you control your emotions? I think yes, but not always. There are some emotions (usually fear-based) which are very difficult to control, so I try to.
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? No, of course, no. I think it can provoke some mental diseases.
3) Are you politically correct? M-m-m-m. I want to be a politically correct person, but there are too many subtleties , which are difficult to remember
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? Yes. You can hurt a person with such a behaviour.
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? The first type of values can’t exist without the second for me
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? Yes. Our emotions are sometimes more powerful than a common sense.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? It depends on the circumstances in the family, on upbringing, on surroundings.
By Ayayulia

1) Can you control your emotions? Yes, definetely. At least, in most cases
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? No, we should reveal them and show them. What's the sense in them then?
3) Are you politically correct? Yes, but it depends on whay you mean. I'm not a communist, and not a republican, if you try to supress my active civil position.
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? I try to at least, but sometimes it's impossible))
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? I would say spiritual. As man must not live by bread alone.
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? Yes, actually this is their main predestination.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? I wouldn't say that about Russia. Maybe in Europe it's true, but I've never lived there, so I can't claim anything.
By 8davids8

1)Can you control your emotions? Yes, I can. In every situation I try to stay a sober-minded person.
2) Should we suppress our emotions all the time? Well, I think it’s impossible to suppress your emotions in every situation. Sometimes we just need to express them greatly in order to feel good.
3) Are you politically correct? Yes…I suppose yes..
4) Do you avoid emotional abuse in your relationships with others? Of course! I think everybody should avoid any kind of emotional abuse towards other people. To communicate means to support but not to spurn.
5) What's more important for you: material or spiritual values? Maybe now I should answer spiritual values..:) But actually both material and spiritual values are important for me.
6) Can our emotions rule our behaviour? Yes, they can. That is why I think that it’s better to think more and to become hysterical less.
7) Is it a stereotype that our society are people who are taught to hide their emotions? I don’t think it depends on our society. If a person likes to express his emotions then no society can stop him. The same is about hiding.

1. Do you agree that chronic diseases are caused only by stress?
2. What kind of emptions prevails in you?
3. In your opinion, are there any anti-social emotions?
4. Is fear a ruining force?
5. Are you sometimes ashamed of your emotions?
6. Are emotions somehow connected with your physical state? And vice versa?

1. Do you agree that chronic diseases are caused only by stress? Not ONLY. But sometimes permanent stress can aggravate one's disease and even make it chronic.
2. What kind of emptions prevails in you? Positive-Positive-Positive ones!!! I do believe that if you are positive and cheerful all the troubles (or some) won't disturb you)))
3. In your opinion, are there any anti-social emotions? No, I don't think so. I guess there are anti-social behaviour produced by some kinds of negative emotions. But emotions as they are can't be social or antisocial. How we act under their influence – that matters.
4. Is fear a ruining force? For me – no. when I feel fear I tend to be angry because of that, and when I'm angry I begin to do my best to achieve what I want. My logic is quite simple: “Oh, how scaring!!! I can't, I won't be able... stop! A weak silly whimpere! Stop complaining and... come on!!!”)))) so, for me, fear is a kind of encouraging force.
5. Are you sometimes ashamed of your emotions? Hmmm... can't remember such situation. So, I think, no.
6. Are emotions somehow connected with your physical state? And vice versa? Yes, me emotions do influence my physical state, but my physical state rarely influences my emotions.)))
By Rina

1. Do you agree that chronic diseases are caused only by stress? Of course, they are not only caused by stress, but their advance is very likely to be caused by a great emotional tension.
2. What kind of emotions prevails in you? I can’t say what kind of emotions I’m more inclined to experience, but in general they are positive.
3. In your opinion, are there any anti-social emotions? In my opinion, all the emotions that are considered to be negative are anti-social. They prevent successful communication and lead to misunderstanding and conflicts.
4. Is fear a ruining force? Sure. There is no other feeling that can undermine your health and psychic state so creepingly and secretly.
5. Are you sometimes ashamed of your emotions? Ashamed? No. Actually I feel ashamed very rarely. And as for emotions, I don’t see any reason for having your head down – emotions are natural!
6. Are emotions somehow connected with your physical state? And vice versa? Certainly. Both emotions and physical condition are interconnected. For instance, when you are in a rage, your immune system fails to protect you, and you’re likely to fall ill. And vice versa, when you’re seriously ill, you may be very afraid, or depressed, or irritated.
By MissJane

1. Do you agree that chronic diseases are caused only by stress? Not only of course, but it may be one of the reasons for.
2. What kind of emotions prevails in you? Positive ones, I think. It's always nice to be happy with ypur life.
3. In your opinion, are there any anti-social emotions? Maybe aggression can be an antisocial emotion, it seems to be the reason for social conflicts.
4. Is fear a ruining force? Yes, I've heard lots of stories when people did unbelievable things feeling fear. It's like a catalyst for our bodies' activity.
5. Are you sometimes ashamed of your emotions? No, never. Nothing I can do about it)
6. Are emotions somehow connected with your physical state? In a way. Negative emotions can influecne our overall state, and posotive - increase our disire to live.
By 8davids8

1. Do you agree that chronic diseases are caused only by stress? I don’t think so. But still everybody knows that stress causes many health problems.
2. What kind of emptions prevails in you? I can say that I’m quite a positive person. But my emotions can be differ of course. It depends…
3. In your opinion, are there any anti-social emotions?Well, it’s a good question…I guess such emotions that cause bad behavior can be called anti-social. But for every person these emotions are different.
4. Is fear a ruining force? No, of course not. Usually fear just makes me do my best, like “Hey! Do this and that and everything will be ok again!”
5. Are you sometimes ashamed of your emotions? No, I think. If I want to cry, then I cry. If I want to laugh, then I laugh. It’s natural.
6. Are emotions somehow connected with your physical state? And vice versa? Well, yes..if I feel ok, then I express positive emotions. When I feel bad-negative once. Though quite often feeling bad I try not to show it in order not to make other people worry about me.

1.Do you use any special psychological techniques to control your emotions?
2.Do you agree that love and fear are opposite to each other?
3.Do you personally notice that your emotional state affect your health?
4.Is it true that abusers are extremely possessive and jealous and they experience an intense desire to control their mates?
5.Can a person who employs emotional abuse be described as having a dual personality?
6.Scientists report that emotional stress may contribute to development of cancer and may also reduce effectiveness of treatments. Do you support the view?
7.Do you share the opinion that the usage of modern technologies and facilities make people more lax, that is, not willing to express their emotions?

1. Do you use any special psychological techniques to control your emotions? No, I have never used them. I really can’t even remember the name of any.
2. Do you agree that love and fear are opposite to each other? No, I don’t think so. I was absolutely afraid of first meeting with his parents)))
3. Do you personally notice that your emotional state affect your health? Yes. Positive emotions give me vital energy. And negative emotions make me lazy and nerveless.
4. Is it true that abusers are extremely possessive and jealous and they experience an intense desire to control their mates? I think it is true. They want to manage everything around, you can’t take a step without their permission.
5. Can a person who employs emotional abuse be described as having a dual personality? I think these are unrelated things.
6. Scientists report that emotional stress may contribute to development of cancer and may also reduce effectiveness of treatments. Do you support the view? Yes. I think that we are what we think about.
7. Do you share the opinion that the usage of modern technologies and facilities make people more lax, that is, not willing to express their emotions? No, I know too many strongly emotional people.
By Ayayulia

1. Do you use any special psychological techniques to control your emotions? Yes, sometimes. When I'm about to "explode".
2. Do you agree that love and fear are opposite to each other? No, I don't think so. If I don't love somebody, it doesn't mean I'm afraid of him.
3. Do you personally notice that your emotional state affect your health? Yes. I usually fall ill running high temperature when I'm simply very tired and depressed.
4. Is it true that abusers are extremely possessive and jealous and they experience an intense desire to control their mates? I suppose, it is. I know some.
5. Can a person who employs emotional abuse be described as having a dual personality? I wouldn't say that. What's the duality then?!
6. Scientists report that emotional stress may contribute to development of cancer and may also reduce effectiveness of treatments. Do you support the view? yes.One "example" is my Granny. She's broken her leg and she is sure nothing'll help her to reduce the pain. And nothing helps. No medicine. Even very expensive and serious.
7. Do you share the opinion that the usage of modern technologies and facilities make people more lax, that is, not willing to express their emotions? No, I don't. I don't see any interconnection here.
By Asya

1.Do you use any special psychological techniques to control your emotions? Nothing special... I just eat tonnes of chocolate to calm down. It really helps!
2.Do you agree that love and fear are opposite to each other? I don't regard them as two opposite ones. They are just a little bit different. For me saying “love is opposite to fear” is like the statement “an apple is opposite to an orange”. But they have smth in common, very often they go hand in hand, for example when a person loves smbody and is afraid to lose him/her.
3.Do you personally notice that your emotional state affect your health? Yes, I do. If I'm down in the dumps, I'm more likely to get ill.
4.Is it true that abusers are extremely possessive and jealous and they experience an intense desire to control their mates? Sometimes they are. Sometimes they do. But I also think that the main reason for such a behaviour is certain problems in communication – they just got used to behave this way and have no idea how to get on with others.
5.Can a person who employs emotional abuse be described as having a dual personality? No, I don't think so.
6.Scientists report that emotional stress may contribute to development of cancer and may also reduce effectiveness of treatments. Do you support the view? I do agree that it can reduce effectiveness of treatments – it's a kind of autosuggestion: when a person in permanently depressed, he loses hope to get well and... he hardly manages to do it. But I really doubt that such a serious disease as cancer can be provoked stress.
7.Do you share the opinion that the usage of modern technologies and facilities make people more lax, that is, not willing to express their emotions? No, I think everything depends. If a person has certain predisposition, his emotions and the whole state can be influenced by the technologies and facilities. But I doubt that it happens with everybody.
By Rina

1.Do you use any special psychological techniques to control your emotions? I guess no, because actually I’m not so good at Psychology
2.Do you agree that love and fear are opposite to each other? I can’t say they are opposite. Sometimes they even go together.
3.Do you personally notice that your emotional state affect your health? Yes, sometimes my inner emotions can influence my health in a bad way.
4.Is it true that abusers are extremely possessive and jealous and they experience an intense desire to control their mates? Yes, I completely agree with you. I guess such people just want to control everything all the time.
5.Can a person who employs emotional abuse be described as having a dual personality? No, I don’t think so. It doesn’t matter what kind of personality he/she has.
6.Scientists report that emotional stress may contribute to development of cancer and may also reduce effectiveness of treatments. Do you support the view? Yes, I do. Though there are many other reasons that provoke cancer, but still the influence of stress is great too.
7.Do you share the opinion that the usage of modern technologies and facilities make people more lax, that is, not willing to express their emotions? No, Of course not. Some of my friends are very emotional and even modern technologies can’t make them lax

1.Do your emotions influence your behavior?
2.Can a person control emotions based on fear?
3.Can fear and love be expressed simultaneously?
4.Do you disapprove of intimidation as a main method of bringing up?
5.Can children be involved in parent’s conflicts? (I mean that sometimes one parent try to manipulate his/her spouse with the help of the child or through the child)

1.Do your emotions influence your behavior? They would if I allowed them to.
2.Can a person control emotions based on fear? maybe. I can't. biggrin
3.Can fear and love be expressed simultaneously? can't find any example but I'm sure they can.
4.Do you disapprove of intimidation as a main method of bringing up? yes, of course. It will ruin the child's psyche.
5.Can children be involved in parent’s conflicts? Do you mean "Do children feel unloved when their parents can't get along well"? Then yes. It's always very difficult for a child that his family and home aren't the shelter any more.
By Asya

1.Do your emotions influence your behavior? No, I don’t let my emotions spoil one’s day, that is I try to behave normally all the time.
2.Can a person control emotions based on fear? Yes, at least I can..well except such cases when I see a big dog with huge teeth in front of me
3.Can fear and love be expressed simultaneously? Yes, they can. And to my mind it happens quite often.
4.Do you disapprove of intimidation as a main method of bringing up? Sometimes it’s necessary, and quite useful. But of course it depends on the degree of intimidation.
5.Can children be involved in parent’s conflicts? (I mean that sometimes one parent try to manipulate his/her spouse with the help of the child or through the child) Unfortunately now it happens very often. But I think parents should solve their problems by themselves, without causing distress to their children.
(By Luck)

1.Do your emotions influence your behaviour? I hope, no. I try not to let my emotions influence my deeds and behaviour.
2.Can a person control emotions based on fear? It depends on a person. There are people who can control ALL their emotions (love- and fear based) and there are people who are quite unsuccessful in it.
3.Can fear and love be expressed simultaneously? Yes. I'm absolutely convinced that people can't feel clear, integral emotions. What we feel is always a mix of different (even opposite) emotions.
4.Do you disapprove of intimidation as a main method of bringing up? I guess I do. If a child is always intimidated he begins to shrink from everything.
5.Can children be involved in parent’s conflicts? (I mean that sometimes one parent try to manipulate his/her spouse with the help of the child or through the child) Of course no. It's disgusting when a child becomes a “means” in the parents' “fight”.
