Hi, Netters! I think you have hear the news about a new campaign against Moscow's mayor Luzhkov... A timely sign against modern political degradation in the country. Forget democracy and Law! Any new leader can do whatever he wants? Life is a big political game! We can do nothing but observe and remember.

Well, as I think, there was a moment when Mr. Luzhkov decided to do smth. counter to the president. Or maybe the ex-mayor of Moscow showed that he knows smth. better than Mr. Medvedev... Anyway I don't believe that discredit was the real reason for the retirement of Mr. Luzhkov.

Maybe. Luzhkov belongs to those people who say what they think and I’m sure he had and still has lots of things to say about the governments’ actions. Even now when he’s criticized and blamed for traffic problems in the capital, lingering fires in the suburbs and all, he’s not afraid to express his opinion. According to one of Luzhkov’s last interviews, he thinks the political course of our ruling party is dangerous and wrong. Luzhkov openly criticizes Medvedev, saying the President always tries to imitate Western politicians when speaking in public, and also knows nothing about true problems of common Russians. Ex-mayor of Moscow thinks Medvedev pretends to be a person with progressive thinking and far-reaching democratic plans, but in reality he leads our country to pure authoritarian regime.
Of course Luzhkov understands this criticism won’t be forgotten quickly. He says he realizes his own life and the lives of his family members are in danger. That’s why both of his daughters have already left Russia and study in Great Britain now. But Luzhkov and his wife will stay here anyway.

Nekavaen, it's natural for who are in disgrace to critisize government. The fact is Mr. Luzhkov being a mayor kept silence, because it helped him make money. Now he can't do this, so it's time for him to "reveal the truth".

Our politicians are very strange people. They can only promise that many things in our life will become better. And we can hear these promises more often when there is electioneering in our country. No matter that they have already been in the duma but do nothing
