Some information about political System of the USA...
The United States of America is a federal republic consisting of 50 states. Each state has its own government («state government*). In some ways the United States is like 50 small countries.
The government of the USA act according to the Constitution which was signed by the first thirteen representatives of thirteen original American states in 1787. The document was written in 1787 and since that time twenty six Amendments have been added. The first ten Amendments were simply rights or the Bill of rights. According to the Constitution the USA is a republic. So, the officials of any rank are elected by US citizens. Every citizen has rights which can not be violated.

In my opinion, Thanksgiving day is a very good and kind holiday. It gathers the family and friends together. Thanksgiving day is a good reason to talk to your great-aunt or a second cousin to whom you haven`t talked for years) Besides, it`s a good day for telling your mother «I love you so much!!!»

I think life in USA for native is much more comfortable than in Russia. But for foreigner it is not so comfortable. Foreigners cannot use all the social services there. A foreigner is treated worse than a native. So, there's no sence for us to go there.

Why do you think so?

More than 250 million people live in the United States. The United States is a young country. Its written history is only a few hundred years old. It is sometimes called the "New World". Over the last 400 years millions of people have come to start a new life in this "New World".

There are a lot of great holidays in the USA, but more of then we can't celebrate in our country, because more of all holidays associated with some event. About life in USA I can say that we shouldn't think that it's better than in Russia. We see it in american films, but it doesn't mean it is so. Neighbors's grass is always greener =)

Yes, we can hear such words from any person in Russia.
I think it is partially true that life in USA is better than in Russia. Is it not obvious ? I believe it depends not only on the government, but on the culture of the people, too.
Moreover, America is more developed country than Russia. It is a fact. Russia takes over all that creates America. It is sad.
