Anime and your opinion about it

| Many people watch anime nowadays- Japan cartoons,and there are a lot of arguments about it. Anime haters say that it will spoil our health and anime lovers say that anime is a kind of art. What is your opinion about it? Do you like it or dislike and why?

| Just look at my avatar - and you will easily answer the question whether I like anime or not. 
I do like it, of course! Maybe, I'm not a mad anime-fan, but still I really appreciate this kind of Art. As any other form of Art, anime can be of different types, or forms. There are even educational anime-movies.
And I'm firmly convinced that anime is not for children. It raises unchildish questions.
P.S. Today I've bought a statuette of Tsukasa from "Lucky star".  Does anybody here collect anime figurines? ---

It depends on kind of the cartoon. There are some special "childish" cartoons

| Chii... Yeah, there was one I wanted to buy but it cost too much. And when finally I got my scholarship somebody had already bought it. 
I've also got one cute figurine but don't know who she is. Just liked it very much)))
Favourite anime?.. A difficult question... I adore Hayao Miyazaki... But the favourite? I suppose, "Elfen Lied". Or the first half of "Death Note"... I don't know. Really. Chobits are also among my favourite ones.
Favourite anime-movies are like favourite books: either you have none or a whole dozen.

Right now I'm watching "Lovely Complex". And I like it, it's cute
But it's only for shoujo-fans 
If you don't know, what "shoujo" means, I can explain.
Shoujo means a little female. This genre of manga or anime often has a strong focus on human and romantic relationships and emotions.
In a few words, shoujo manga is full of romantic scenes, love problems and so on

I recently saw When Seagulls Cry...it is interesting but boring sometimes...
I like mystic anime more...Le Portrait de Petit Cossette or Serial Experiments Lain. Such anime cartoons are forced to think about the meaning of life sometimes, that's why i like it))
But some comedies like Kamen no Maid Guy, Lovely Complex, Class President is a Maid make me smile.. if you haven't watched it yet, i advise you to.

| oh, yes) i like gothic...vampires, bats, mysterious palaces and dark woods...
I learned recently about lolita style...it is very beautiful! i like girls in lovely black dresses with flowers, ribbons and bows
