We all want/would like people who surround us to do this or that. For example, our friends would like us to spend our free time with them, our teachers want us to do our home assignment regularly.
And what are you made/allowed to do?
What do you want your parents/teachers/friends to do?

I'm sure that it's absolutely pointless to demand something from others. It's a well-known fact that we (maybe subconsciously) try to change people we love and it's actually a stumbling block of many relations especially those based on passion. I must admit that I'm not an exception (unfortunately) but what I can say for sure that one person who means a lot to me helps me get rid of this habit (even unintentionally). Maybe it will sound pompous but sooner or later comes the moment when you face the choice: acceptance or...h'm, the variants here are numerous. I believe we should try to work out some constraining factor.

I think that it sounds a bit odd that someone wants his/her parents or friends to do something. confused No one owes anything to anyone. But we can't deny the fact that man is selfish by nature. And he/she demands something from others but not from him/herself. As far as I'm concerned I don't stand my ground and demand something. So my friends and parents also don't do that. Sometimes I make concessions but any relationship is a compromise. But this compromise mustn't affect somebody's interests greatly and every member of relationship should be ready to make a compromise smile

Somebody requires something from me. What do I require from my friends, parents etc?
I would like my parents to give me more free time. So I want my friends to spend with me more time than usually. I want the teachers to become kinder.
Besides I have to do something for my friends and my family. There are many such requirements.
