The word 'Economy' means 'sphere of production and commerce'.
The word 'Economics' means 'science of economic laws and processes'.
So, you will make a mistake if you write:
'Mikhail Prokhorov suggests better conditions for employers and emplyees in order to develop economics in our country'.
In this sentence you are to use the word 'economy'.
