This forum is a format to discuss issues and matters related to the new project 'English Speaking Workshop'.
Nikavaen asks 'How will volunteers develop teaching skills on the future site...?"
The answer is simple. Maintaining online discussions will teach volunteers to conduct online courses.
By doing it, they will learn various ways and startegies how to do website-based teaching.
I have been doing it for about two years, and I have learnt to do a lot of things successfully.

I see. And will teachers be involved in the process? Or will the project presuppose close cooperation of school and university students only?

As I see it now, I would like to involve young seeking teachers and students! The main figure is the moderator. I think I will take up the role. I will also have a chance to teach students what I know and can do well. I often see that a lot of university students do not possess good speaking skills. So, I am also thinking a lot about starting up a similar Speaking Worshop for university students because some students are really eager to build perfect speaking skills but often lack favourable environment. But one thing stops me now - I don't want to do as a university teacher, I want to do it through my teaching centre that I set up four years ago but do not manage it well enough.

Speaking Workshop for University students will start in September. To get registered as a participant send a PM to the Teacher.
This workshop is a paid session. The participation fee is 100 rubles per 90 minutes.
The course moderators are excellent specialists in teaching English who have worked in various environments.
More details will be given in a post in the news section.

If it really happens to work out, I'd be extremely happy to participate. You're absolutely right speaking about the absence of favourable environment for developing language skills (especially when a student spends 2 months of summer vacations idle). However, not everything depends on the environment. Your own diligence is your inner incentive. Nothing could replace it or motivate you better. So thank you a lot for this opportunity. Surely it will become a steep pace towards perfect knowledge and skills for everyone who does desire to turn to the session.
