It is not a secret, that for having a good pronunciation you must do everyday exercises for it. And I know one, that is still popular: you need a dozen of little stones. You need to put these stones into your mouth and say sounds and simple words. To be honest i've never done such an exercise for practice my pronunciation, but I know that Ms. Antonovskaya uses it among her students.

Well, I think that the stones can be substituted by some candies or sugarplums. Much more delicious smile

Much more delicious

And you'll eat, but not pronounce... smile

I think if you're a diligent student you can improve your pronunciation without "eating" stones, but using only those exercises which we used when we were first-year students.

Friends, I know that my idea may be crazy, but still... What do you think about creating a topic concerned with the theoretical phonetics in this theme (I mean the theme "Pronunciation and Intonation")? We just post in the topic the information from our lectures. I think it'll be useful for those who study English professionally.

Seagul, your suggestion is quite realistic and useful. We should ask Max to start a new section on the site. It can be called "Theory of Phonetics". If everyone of you post at least notes of one lecture, it will be a good project and will attract many users.

Teacher, if it's possible we can use only the best lectures, because as for me, my lectures are not very good.

I don't think it's a good idea. The lectures are an intellectual property of Ms Antonovskaya. Seagull, you may write your own lectures and share them with everybody. Or ask Ms Antonovskaya for a permission to post her lectures in the Internet.

Asya, I suppose, lectures are shorter and clearer than the information given in the text-books.

Posting lectures? what is this all about, guys? Theory doesn't have any value without being applied in practice. If you have some ideas how theoretical phonetics helped you or is helping nowadays, please, write about this!Share your experience - it is a more interesting and useful thing to do, isn't it?
