Dear Netters! I sometimes come across the mistake that is often made by the site users. This is about the grammar structures:
Let's do it! and Let us do it!
Sometimes, judging by the context, this or that message writer misuses the patterns. Look here:
I guess it's a mistake of a lot of people (especially in Russia) to think that if you aren't married when you're, let us say 23, you'll remain alone and no one will ever pay attention to you.
According to the context, the author wanted to say'Let's" because the intention was 'to think about'.
If we use 'Let us say!' it means "Allow us to say!"
So simple and so misleading the English grammar is! biggrin
