| Alex_Makh! Thanks for the poll project. I would like to know music preferences in our group. When you get all the votes, will you present the results to the group? Your comments and conclusions will also be essential. To tell the truth, it's difficult to choose among the styles and genres of music. Your choice depends on dofferent things. However, if I had one choice out of ten, I think I would choose JAZZ.

| Quote (MissJane) Do you really adore Mozart, Bach, Moussorgsky.....? Well, some years ago I could hardly answer "Yes, of course!!!" I could say "Well, I do like it, but I rarely listen to it, because I prefer something else... bla-bla-bla..." To be honest, I didn't listen to it at all... But everything has changed this autunm. While I was surfing the Inet, I found one video and... I was fascinated by its music... Mozart. "Lacrimosa". Yes, I've heard it before, but it has never touched me. But this day a shiver went up and down my spine: I was quite hooked on it, I've downloaded a lot of music by Mozart, I was listening to it all day long. Well, yes, now I can say that I really adore Mozart. Just adore. Without any "bla-bla-bla"

| Quote (MissJane) Do you really adore Mozart, Bach, Moussorgsky.....? I listen to classical music very often. But Bach is the one who makes me irritated. It's unbearable for me to listen to his musical compositions for the organ.

| Well, I rarely listen to classical music; of course I like it but to listen to it, I need to be in a certain mood. As for Bach, girls, I agree, his compositions are sometimes baffling, rough for an ear, but I really adore his 'Prelude from Cello Suite №1', especially played by Patrick O'Hearn.

| As for me, I prefer metal, rock, jazz, folk, new age and some genres of electronic music. Quote (Teacher) What is POST ROCK? Can you mention any names? Where does it come from? Are there any Russian bands that play it? As far as I know, post-rock is a special musical genre which includes elements of rock, jazz and electronic music. It's mostly instrumental music with unusual melodies and rhythms. This genre comes essentially from Great Britain. The most famous modern post-rock bands are God Is An Astronaut (Ireland) and Sigur Rós(Iceland). There are also some russian bands but it's really hard to name all of them. I just remmember the name of one band - Mooncake.
