50 Best Movies of 2010
http://blog.moviefone.com/2010/09/01/best-movies-of-2010/ has made a list of 50 best movies of this year. The rating is based on the results of voting at http://www.rottentomatoes.com/. This website allows all netters to express their approval or disapproval of some movie or cartoon.
Of course, I'm not going to list all the 50 winners. So, just some of them.
1. Toy Story 3.
2. The social network.
3. Inception.
4. Winter's bone.
5. Exit through the gift shop.
6. Black swan.
7. True gift.
8. The kids are all right.
9. The king's speech.
10. How to train your dragon.
25. Harry Potter and the deathly hallows - part 1.
49. The twilight saga: eclipse.
50. Alice in Wonderland.
Well, of course, this rating is unprofessional. But it shows what people really like and dislike.
As for me, I haven't even watched all the 10 winning films. And what about you? Do you think these movies can be called the best?!

I watched practically all of them and frankly speaking none of them impressed me. The best film is a film which you want to watch for the second time. After watching these films, I didn't have such a desire.

I don't know why 'The Social Network' is so high in the list. Nothing remarkable. Nobody or very few will watch it for the second time. Just a one-time show.

Well, probably it's sensible to call these movies the best novies of the year, but don't pay atetion to their order, they're just ten best movies. It' strange that Winter's bone or Exit through the gift shop stay in the same row with Inception, Social Network or Toy Story 3, because the first ones are not aimed at the public at large. But maybe it's for the best. Most of them I guess will be listed in the Oscar nominees.
By the way rottentomatoes.com is a nice web-site where u can read reviews of world-famous cinema critics that publish in huge newspapers and magzines.
PS: Asya, haven't you watched Inception?

I have. Rina and I went to the cinema and...we were really impressed. We liked it very much))) I'm not surprised it's in the list.

Are those two films you've mentioned (I mean Winter's bone and Exit through the gift shop) worth watching? I'd better rely on your opinion rather than heed the advice of any website biggrin
