Yesterday a 63-year-old lady was arrested. What is the reason for it? The answer is a little bit shocking – the old lady tried to sell GUNS. 30,000 rubs for about 200 ball-cartridges of different calibre, home-made gun and a silencer – that was the price. Very low, to be honest. As it was found, the weapon belonged to the old lady's son who died some years ago and was said to be involved in some criminal affairs. What made the old lady become an "arms dealer”? May be it was the only chance for her to get some money? By the way what could she do with all that stuff that she "inherited” from her son? Do you think she deserves being arrested?
Well, I think there is not much to talk about. It is a crime and the delinquent is found. So the case has nothing to deal with the age or motives, the thing is on the surface. My grandmother doesn't sell guns even if she needs money badly.
It was a stupid decision to sell the weapons. She deserves being arrested. A wise woman can't bring up a criminal. A kind woman will never try to sell weapons. A clever woman can always find a way to get money legally. The age means nothing here.
I would have recommended her to wait for some 7 years and then sell them. I doubt she would be brought into the insane house for this. Maybe this is only my sarcasm, but according to the russian legislation they can't proceed against above 70's.
To mind mind, in our country such cases are too dubious. Maybe it will sound too childish and naive but if this old lady were given some money for the guns, when she brought them to the police, she would bring them there for sure. Everybody wants to get some profit from everything. I wouldn't accuse her of the sale.
According to the law, anyone who sells weapons must be arrested. An investigation should take place to understand the motives that made the woman do it. I think it is money. I don't want to defend or accuse her, but she is to blame. Yes. The weapons belonged to her son, so she could have contacted the police and told them about the arsenal. On the other hand, if she hadn't actually sold any guns before, she could be freed.
