A New Outdoor Archeological Season Opens in Ryazan Kremlin
The reserve museum “Ryazan Kremlin” holds the opening of a regular field archeological season tomorrow, June 21. The diggings will be continued at the spot that was first exposed for excavations in 2004 – between the Monks Hostelry and The Choir Building. This year they go on exploring the layer of the 15th century, of the time when Ryazan Princedom still existed. The diggings will employ the students of Ryazan State University (the History and International Relations Department) and the schoolchildren – the members of city history club “Veche”. But all those who want to spend their free time excitingly and enrich their knowledge of the history of their small motherland are welcome. More than that, during the excavation time there will be excursions with professional guides to tell you about the Kremlin and the archeological works. You are free to join!

Wow, that is a rather interesting thing. And to my mind it is a good way to spent summer holidays for pupils. By the way I also want to participate in these diggings. cool
