The pictures of famous Pablo Picasso are the most expensive art works in the world. For example, one of his pictures, that was created in 1932 was sold by auction several days ago… This unknown connoisseur of art paid 106, 5 million of dollars! Do you understand the people who pay such huge sums of money just to have a picture by Picasso or someone else? I like art very much, and maybe if I had such money I would buy something too, but now for me it seems really weird.
I would say "Bent Objects" with a subtitle makes sense on a maretking level: blog fans will know it's your book and what it's called (therefore they buy), your book will drive people to your blog, etc (therefore you can sell ad space w/ more readers). It's what people in the advertising firm here call "synergy." I usually tune them out right after a word like that is spoken.Bend it like Border made me laugh, and "It Grew Legs and Walked Away"Mine:What Your Stuff Does When You're Out (or "When You're Sleeping")Art d'objet I don't know French, but I'm assuming this would still mean "art of objects?"I'll have to think more about this.-M.
It's a question of human psychology, I think. For some people it's enough to enjoy Picasso looking at his pictures at the museum. But others want to own his pictures. And is it important to own a picture to admire it? And one more question: Isn't it better to spend so much money wiser? There are a lot of problems in the word, where money is necessary. And then a man can go to the museum and enjoy Picasso.
His pictures are really unusual, he was an innovator, so why not? For some people art is the meaning of life and they are ready to get famous pictures at any price. But I personally prefer impressionists...)
