Educational standards of the second generation
Educational standards of the second generation are a new innovation in the sphere of education. All the new textbooks will be written in accordance to it. As fas as I've got it the main idea will be: if the student is not interested in your subject, do something! For example, it's written there that if a child doesn't wand to read classical literature, don't make him do that. And if he comes to the lesson unprepared, don't blame him for that. That's not his fault. Speak with children about the things they're interested in. It is considered to be excellent to be discussing TV and radio at the lesson of Russian Literature.

Here are some links to Russian web-sites: the official web-site, some explanations (plus "summary"), reasons for introducing new standards.
So, what do you think about it? I know, my news is very subjective, but such "innovations" do irritate me! I suppose, the only reason for such reforms is that pupils and their parents will have to pay a great deal of money for new (the rightest and the bestest!!!) textbooks.

Well, as to the literature lessons. I understand that there are classical works that are very diffucilt or not interesting to read, but still... This new system of education is nothing more than just a transitional step to the end of our educational system. If they want to create new textbooks, let them do it, but I really doubt that these new textbooks will better than those we have now.

End! Collapse! Disaster! Complete destruction! War against people! War against history and civilization! Full cleansing of the society! A n approaching fall of the Empire! 'Animal Farm' by Orwells has come to my mind now!

can't but share your emotions! It seems to me that the world is ruining! I'm firmly convinced: no education - no future.

American system of education is evidently not the worst on the planet (it is one of the leading countries and I don't think that stupid people have achieved its welfare). Actually the problem with the Russian education resolves itself simply to the issue of money. 4200 rub per month for a young teacher at a secondary school? Oh, of course, we need drastic changes in our educational system! For example, let's begin discussing TV and radio at the lesson of Russian Literature! cry

if this were the problem of "copying", everything would be much simpler! We have a selected copying. And now a rhetorical question: do we borrow the best ideas or vice versa?

Five years ago I made a report about American influence to our country. And it was said 50 years ago, that America would try to ruin our country beginning form our children, their morality, health and education. I have some friends who live in America and some of them have children now. So, they said, that all american children do what they want on the lessons, they sing, draw, dance, do physical training. And of course some of them, who are realyy interested in science, study it. Well, think of it, think of the influence of America to our country. I dont want to copy their education system, I want my children be an open-minded with the help of Russian education that I and my parents had.

I don't even want to see the "reasons for introducing new standards"! It’s just a new attempt to ruin our system of education and make children more illiterate and spoilt. Teachers will become helpless and deprived of all rights, parents will lose enormous sums of money. Guess, who will benefit from this innovation in the end? The whole society or just the "Big Bosses"?

oh, it's so difficult for me to guess! I'm in two minds! biggrin biggrin
And now guess who will suffer more! Pupils? Parents? Or teachers? (a good riddle, isn't it?!)

well... maybe... But... teachers will have to give up a lot, their thematic planning, there already planned lessons in order to adjust to this new standards. Otherwise they'll suffer losses. Especially now, when they get those "points" for their work.
