Have you ever dreamt about visiting the coldest place on our planet? Now you have such a opportunity! There is a variety of tour options, from a straightforward fly in to the Pole experience (with plenty of sightseeing along the way) to a trip that lets you cross country ski the last 20 kilometers (13.4 miles) to a full on, 60 day ski recreation of the original Norwegian expedition. This is a highly professional company that maintains fuel caches on the ice and since they began in 1993, Polar Explorers has maintained an impeccable safety record – no client has ever suffered a serious injury or even severe frostbite. Weeklong packages run around $40,000.
As for me, I believe it is very exciting to travel so far and to live for some time in such extreme conditions but I would never do that first of all because of the risk to be completely frozen somewhere in a snowdrift and secondly because of the money I would need to spend for that. I think even here it is cold enough, and this is for free))
I'd love to take part in such a tour or expedition. But at the same time it's not interesting to be taken care of like a flask of glass. For me it can be a great adventure and experience to be on par with professional explorers.
