This week The Final Bell concert will take place. On the 25th of May there wil be a dry run, so in a couple of days after it we all can participate the perfomance. It will be a concert for 5 year students and their teachers prepared by future graduating students themselves. Unfortunately the exact date of this event is not clear yet. It was Prof. Kolker requirement to run the whole perfomance in English only. But the concept of the performance presupposes German, French, Spanish and Chinese songs and poems also.
to my mind it is not a good idea to run this concert only in English because parents and relatives of students wont understand. Of course i understand that we learn foreign languages but this concert is not only for teachers and students. Also for guests.
I do agree with you. Moreover, teachers of German are also invited to this concert. And not all of them can understand English. I think it would be better if everything were in Russian except for some short episodes like a movie or a PowerPoint presentation...
