Hot summer: Ice-cream price goes up
According to the statistics, this june ice-cream is 10-12% more expencive than it used to be in May. Actually, it is an annual tendency - when summer comes, ice-cream price goes up due to the accretion of demand. But this year the increase is rather high, say economists. It is explain by different factors, but the main reason is that dried milk price has increased. The price of dried milk that is one of the most important components of any ice-cream has become TWICE more expencive. btw, I don't think that it will influence the demand. According to metcast, this summer is going to be rather hot, that's why ice-cream price won't matter. How do you think? And do you think that eating some ice-cream is the best way to refresh yourself? May be you know other ways to escape heat?
For me, ice-cream seems to be the only possibility to feel at least a bit cold in hot summer days. Ecpesially that fruit ice))I like it very much and I can eat several portions during a day. But frankly speaking I did not notice that prices went up that much. Well maybe ...But it will not prevent me from buying ice-cream again and again))
I don't think ice-cream is the best refreshment. You'll probably get a sore throat instead of feeling cool. For me the best way to stay OK in hot summer days is tea with lemon (btw, it is not necessary that tea is cold; warm tea will do you more good) or just water with lemon (I prefer to make it myself). Psychologically looking at pictures or photos depicting snow, winter or rainy weather can help you feel you are cooling down.
