A planet, whose surface maybe made up of jewels, has been discovered by a group of British and American scientists. "There is every reason to believe that the planet's surface and mountains are made up of jewels," said one of the participants in the study, Professor Nick Madusuda. The conclusion that the planet is made up of jewels was reached based on a study using NASA’s Spitzer telescope, which is in orbit above the earth. According to the scientists the result of their studies has shown that, it has an unusually high carbon content. The conclusions are based on special mathematical calculations that show that the celestial body must have a surface of made up of jewels and graphite. The "Treasure Planet" is located at a distance of 1.2 thousand light years from the Earth.
To tell the truth, I hope it it's just a supposition that will very soon be forgotten, because if it's true, people will do their best to use such a marvel for their delectation and,of course, everything will be spoilt. And now it's food for reflection and dreams.
"The whole planet made of diamonds, rubies and emeralds somewhere far away, hidden among the star dust" - the first idea that came to my mind. Actually, the very news seems amasing but, being awesome at first sight, it seems the more unbelievable the more you think about it. By the way - what a great idea for one's fiction! Travelling throught the space to the diamond planet - a cool plot for a scientific novel)))
Yes, I agree with you! It would be great to visit such a place I hope the scientists will do everything to know more about this planet and maybe in the future we'll be able to travel to the diamond planet.
