Multiple Sclerosis and Stress – Any Connection?
The journal Neurology provided the results of the recent studies aimed at finding out: does multiple sclerosis have any link with the level of stress? The experiments showed there is no stable and reliable link between them, though it was believed to be so. Stress doesn’t raise the risk of developing multiple sclerosis itself. Scientists all over the world is struggling to determine the reasons of this fatal disease and find the ways to prevent it. It will be remembered that multiple sclerosis has no cure. It is likely to develop in young people from 20 to 40, it is especially common in women. MS often progresses to physical and cognitive disability. Maybe stress does not raise the risk of developing MS itself, but it's for sure that stress causes many other health problems that finally can lead to this very MS.
