Scientists from Japan found increased amount of radioactive caesium in tea. The tea is being grown in Sidzuoka, which is 300 km far from the place of nuclear station accident.
Though Japanese say that the level of radiaton in the territory adjacent to the country is not high, radiation dosimeters in Northern Korea indicated not very good values. For example, vegetables grown on the peninsula have an increased level of radiation.
Tea is not the first product to have radiation. Lately, high content of caesium and iodine were found in mushrooms, and in cheekweed, and authorities advised not to eat this food.
By the way, what were Japanese really afraid of did really happen - the first mutant animal was born. It is an earless rabbit. It proved the worst fears of scientists.
