Some days ago Microsoft bought Skype for 8.5$ billion in cash. The purchase was Microsoft’s biggest ever. I think you know that Microsoft has its own software that fulfilled the same functions, but in fact it wasn’t as wide-spread service as Skype. Skype, in contrast, has around a third the number of active users: 124 million each month. Nobody knows for sure it in what circumstances it results for users. I hope that Skype will remain free and convenient.
