Russia has begun manufacturing biotechnological skin. This material is meant to protect and effectively restore skin and mucous membranes in case of burns, injuries and trophic ulcers. The production of biological skin has started at the Biomateria factory which is a part of the Orenburg State University near the Ural Mountains. The material, which has been named “ghiamatriks”, was created by the university scientists together with experts from the Nanosyntez company.
