Ryazan exhibition

A unique exhibition of fairy-tale illustrations takes place in Saltykov-Schedrin's house. It's the first time when this kind of exhibition is put on in our town. Before this event the exhibition of picture book illustrations for fairy-tales used to be staged only in Moscow, rarely than annually. But nowadays any visitor has a chance to see more than 70 illustrations dedicated to Russian folk fairy-tales. Here are only some of them.

I know the fairy-tale about Cat, Dog and a golden ring! It's very funny and wise.
The pictures are so nice. It's important to show children good sketches of their favorite characters.

I agree with MissJane))) I think that such exhibitions are necessary. It is intersting to visit it with children and to guess what fairy tale it is, and, having returned home, to reread some stories. Very educational!

Rina! How did you learn about the exhibition? Do you often go to such events? Who are the artists? These fairy-tale pictures are so magnificent and funny! Did you take the photos yourself?

Well, while surfing the Inet and trying to find some interesting info I came across this news. Unfortunately, I can hardly find some time to visit the exhibitions, but I do enjoy reading about them)))) p.s. Photos aren't mine - a kind of plagiarism biggrin But they are so nice that I couldn't but add them)))

I'd better read the fairy-tales because I can't even guess what stories these pictures illustrate sad But anyway the sketches are really fascinating.
