The level of gas consumption in Russia increased
The amount of gas consumption in Russia has increased by 6.5 billion cubic metres from the beginning of this year. Besides this gas export into Europe has increased by 20% and 30% in April and May respectively. Thus the growth of gas export into Europe will increase by 11.5% in the end of this year. Mr. Miller (the head of GASPROM) said, that all basic branches of industry in Russia have pointed out the stable growth of gas consumption.
This winter was a cold one and it's evident that gas consumption in houses/flats with gas heating increased. More than that, some people use their gas stoves to heat the dwelling as boiler houses of central heating are unable to maintain the comfortable temperatures in buildings.
I think we always devote too much time to this gas-problem and maybe for GASPROM it's a very significant topic but for me...well I have never thought about gas-consumption, and I hope I will never face the same situation like some people did last winter when they simply could not heat their houses and flats.
