Traffic Policeman Arrested For Bribe
Ryazan traffic policeman was arrested for taking bribes. He offered one committer of traffic accident to help him avoid liability for 10 thousand rubles. But the committer infromed agaisnt the policeman to department of inherent security of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Ryazan region. The policeman got a penal: nominal imprisonment and 1-year trial period.
I think common people in Russia are becoming more sensible if they chose thw right way of solving problems, but not giving bribes.
I really can’t imagine how many times a day policemen can be arrested for bribe! As I live in the centre of our city I have a wonderful opportunity to see how they work. I know, that it is unacceptable, but I just get accustomed to it and take it as it is. For me it is easier to pay right at the place, but I have never done it. It is easier not to be taken.
He was too greedy 10,000 roubles? What for, I wonder? Common traffic policemen usually take 500 or 1,000 roubles, that's why for some drivers it's more preferable to pay them rather then go to court...
