The Regional Office of Russian Health and Consumer Rights Agency reports that 340 people sought medical attention over the last two months in Ryazan region because of tick bites. The biggest number of bites was registered in Kasimov and Klepiki districts. There are several ways to secure yourself and your relatives from being bitten by ticks. 1) Imbue the clothes with repellents or smear it with insecticides. 2) Do not bring home forest flowers. 3) Carefully examine your pets after a walk. 4) When going for a picnic, choose a parking place with little grass on it. Ticks can’t stand direct sunbeams either. 5) Do not use fresh-cut grass for bedding.
