Will pupils have to pay for their education?!
The law of paid education was enacted by our State Duma by the third reading of a bill. So, what's the essence of this new law? According to it, schools will get very little money (the amount depends on the number of pupils). And this money won't be enough even to pay salary to teachers. That's why schools will have to establish some subjects pupils (or, better to say, their parents) will pay for. By the way, all subjects will cost 500 roubles per month. But foreign languages will be 2 times more expensive. We may be even) proud))
And one more thing: it is estimated that education will cost approximately 5.000 - 6.000 roubles per month even for pupils of primary school. I'm just irritated at such actions of our government. And what bothers me more is that the reforms will affect all budget sphere - niot only schools, but also medical service. But that's another piece of news.
yes, you're quite right. politicians say that now there are very many people with higher education. Practically nobody wants to become a simple worker or a plumber. And this leads us to a surplus of some labour and lack of another one. They say, the law will balance it. But I completely disagree. You see, some social classes will be unable to pay so much money for education, and some really smart children will be deprived of their basic right. But the rich will continue to study, no matter how stupid they are. And where will it lead our country, I wonder?!
This practice will be fulfilled only in several schools next year, but after a decade for example there will more and more schools demading money. This will lead to one thing - social stratification in schools. In some schools children of middle class will study, in others children of lower class, because they will have nothing to pay for their children. So far maths, literature and russian are free, but i guess in some time parents will have to pay for them as well. When all schools in Russia will accept this system, poor children will be uneducated and that will lead to definetily no-good social consequences.
I am badly shocked. Infuriated. Immobile. Have heard of the proposal but never talked of it. Now it is enacted. What does it mean? Another dozen years of social chaos, irritation, disapproval. First reaction - it's the first real blow into the system of free state education. There are no real reasons for such decisions. Money? Severe budget cuttings mean one thing - the government doesn't know how to earn money. Businesses are trapped and robbed, industries cannot compete with leading foreign companies, mass media never provide analysitical accounts of life in Russia, NHC system is on the survival ratio and feeds only on patients' money, education is sinking into a long period of recession, sciences will never show any life signal for the nearest 10 years, national repressive forces are taking the lead. We are being thrown out on the outskirts of civilized life. People have no influence on governmental decisions. There is no democracy in the country. In Greece Trade Unions have started a national strike over the decision of the government to cut budget spendings. The cuttings were done to meet the requirements of the European Union that haŠ² allotted a 3-billion-euro aid to the Greek government. In Russia similar matters are downvoiced. I am angry.
