Will we be able to afford happy life during our old age?
The other day I read a very "interesting” article about pensioners and actually about their pensions. One of the managers, Andrei Dubinin, said in an interview, "You should think about your future and start saving money." The sum seems to be fantastical for the majority of people- 5800 Euro. Yes, this is money that will help us to be well-fed when we won’t be able to work, and also will give us an opportunity to lead good life. It sounds optimistic, doesn't it? There is just a little problem about it: how can we save 5800 Euro a year, if the salaries in Russia are so low that people simply almost CAN’T save anything? But do not worry, according to Mr. Dubinin in a few years Russian salaries will be as high as European ones!! And the problem will be solved. As usual))))))

Nobody wants to explain HOW to live getting three thousand rubles a month. But on the other hand how people who get HUGE sums of money can explain it? They just don't know what it is to live counting small change in your purse and trying to find a shop where something that you need will cost 5 rubles less. And the situation WILL NENER CHANGE. We do not have any crisis in our country, as the government says. Yes, our government do not have the crisis. It's just PEOPLE who live in constant crisis.

Do you know what irritates me most when I come across such kinds of articles? The following phrases are repeated there for thousand times: “Next autumn we are going to...”, “Soon we will be able to...”, “We are planning to start...” bla-bla-bla! Hey, everybody is fed up with your promises! Why nobody mentions what has been done? Because nobody wants to admit that notwithstanding the fact that the salaries and pensions were a little bit increased, but the level of inflation has completely brought it to nothing. Nobody wants to explain where great sums of money disappear and why there is always nobody to be responsible for it. No-no-no, do not tell us this awful truth! We want to live in our world of violet elephants, look at it through pink glasses and believe that soon we are going to live like in Europe!

I don’t believe that we can live in the same way as our European neighbours. And the problem is in our mentality. If you work in an office where the number of writing materials is at your disposal, don’t you take at least one small folder with you?

"in a few years Russian salaries will be as high as European ones!!" Do you think it's nonsense?! No!!!! It's the truth!! But when we begin to get such salaries, our prices will be much higher than the European ones! there's an interesting regularity in our country, when your salary is getting 10% increased, expect the inflation of 20%. biggrin

I also read an article about pensioners a few days ago. The author tried to calculate their expences. They appeared to be disproportionate! That's why a lot of old people search for some extra work. By the way, they even manage to support their children and grandchildren.

It really sucks! It is so irritating! This is all BS! I'm sorry to be so angry but this is what such people like Dubinin are there for. To NLP people and convince them that life is brilliant in all repsects. Folks, it is briliiant! It is fascinating! It is exciting! It is depressing and frightening at times! But we live this life and can only rely on ourselves! Our government will never change its mentality. This is not their fault. This is our culture - моя хата скраю, ничего не знаю - that creates and supports such governments. But people change faster, than governments. That's why a lot of Russians left the country for good because within times imaginale no positive changes will occur. The more money we keep in banks and pension funds, the more of it goes to other strange needs like building a mega-expensive oil pipeline or olympic sites where more than half of our money disappears but the rest of the country see another drop in salaries and an increase in taxes and communal serivce payments.

Sochi Olympic Site? Oh, it is an endeavoring black hole where money literally evaporates. I remember a very sharp joke one of the KVN teams made up: “Do the sum. In Moscow 3 million $ flows into one end of the pipe, in Sochi 1 million $ flows out of the other end of the pipe. Name those people who are sitting in the pipe”.

I can remeber thousands of examples of such actions to you. They call it "распил" in Russian.

Maybe, Mr.Dubinin's salary will be much higher in a few years. But ordinary people will get nothing - as usual!

Maybe for managers this sum of money is not so unattainable.
