Sales analysis proves, automobile industry has no reasons to die; it still has a lot of fans. “Finance” magazine has published the rating of the best-selling cars of the latest half year. VAZ is the leader: from January to June this group company got 1974.9 million rubles for selling Lada car-brand (in 2010 Russians bought 59.96 thousand Lada “Priora” cars). Classic models and Lada-Samara are at the back of the pack. Such a success can be caused by the utilization program launched last year.

Proud of what! The reason why our cars are still bought is mainly the price and maintanance costs. I also bought a russian make. I needed an off-road auto and Niva-Chevrolet was a reasonable choice for me. I would deep into the issue. Our car manufacturers spend little money on designing new cars.
I think it depends on the market we speak about. Is it the market of new cars? I can imagine that 60% of cars now on our roads are made in Russia, but only if we take into account that the are a lot of very old cars.
