The 63rd annual Cannes Film Festival is held from May 12 to May 23. This year the president of the jury is Tim Burton (I guess everyone knows his brilliant films!). 
Ridley Scott's Robin Hood opened the festival and Julie Bertuccelli's The Tree will be the closing film. BUT! For us Burnt by the Sun 2 by Nikita Mikhalkov is of primary interest,no matter whether we like it or not.
The film is surrounded by gossip. Many people gloat over the fact that Burnt by the Sun 2 failed in Russia. French press went further and called the film "an ode to Stalin". In response others said that these attacks were supposed to compromise Nikita Mikhalkov.
Well, in any case the film is not unnoticed. And what do you think about that? What film deserves the main prize in your opinion?
