Tuymazy The city of Tuymazy is the center of the Tuymazinskiy Region in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation.
Geographically the city and the region are situated on the western border with the Republic of Tatarstan. The distance from Moscow, the capital of the country is 1300 km and from the capital of the republic 170 ΠΊΠΌ. The city and the region is connected with the rest of the country by a federal highway and a railroad running from Moscow to Vladivostok.
The area of the region and the city is 2403 km2. The area of the city itself is 43 km2. There are small rivers the Ik, the Usen, the Kidash. There is also the lake Kandrykul, which is one of 5 the most significant natural objects in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In the city the density of residents is 1542 persons per km2 In the region on the whole 53.8 persons per km2
68.5% of population is largely employed in material production. After the transition to the market economy the services and private enterprises have been growing. Tuymazy is an industrial city with several plants and factories in energy related, fuel industry, chemical engineering, machine building, medicine, manufacturing, paper industry, porcelain and food industry, construction.
Agriculture is also well developed in the rural parts of the region and suburbs.
