Teaching at school is not an easy thing to do. The
result of this teaching always depends upon two major "sides” that are involved
into the process: a teacher and his class. In every school teachers try to
impart only the best things and qualities to children. But sometimes we can
face a big problem: children do not want to study. And what are we supposed to
do in this case? Probably the answer is that we should try to make the learning
process as much interesting as it is possible. So we create entertaining and
useful tasks, make presentations, prepare for every lesson very well. And all
these things can help us a lot. But not always. Sometimes children simply say
to you such things like "The lessons are ok but I do not need your subject at
all”. And in this situation a teacher should use an individual approach to such
pupils.
It sounds pretty complicated but at the same time it
is all quite possible to be put into practice. Just think how exciting it will
be for a kid to know that he actually can make a task, how proud he will be in
case he sees that he is one of the best pupils in the class during the lesson
(and I suppose this is an aim that every pupil should have). And what a great
feeling it is to realize that you can say at least a few sentences in a foreign
language. You can see big smiles on children’s faces just for a small praise
you give to them.
But unfortunately the teacher experience I have just
had is far from being a part of real Global Education. Certainly I tried to give
my pupils the most important information, I also tried to vary the very manner
of delivering my lessons, I tried to use modern technologies in my work. Some
pupils were very interested in that, others tended to believe they could not
utter a single word in German.
In my opinion, every teacher wants to see pupils who
are really involved into a studying process, who are interested in most of the
topics that are discussed. And this is really very hard to work when pupils
simply neglect your subject. So I want to wish all teachers or future teachers
to get good pupils.
