The 2010 FIFA World Cup

The 2010 FIFA World Cup begins next week!! It takes place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa.

Fans all over the world are looking forward to this football festival and everyone is lost in guesses, of course! Numerous predictions have been made, and one of them is Castrol Ranking. According to Castrol Predictor Brazil has a good chance (23,6%). A lot of experts agree with this but others find the prediction strange as they are sure Spain will gain victory (16,1%). "The 3d place" is taken by England (10,4%). It's followed by the Netherlands (10,1%), Argentina (7,5%), Germany (5,8%) and Italy (3,6%).

Frankly speaking, I support Spanish team and I'm sure the triumph in 2008 has made them extremely motivated. But of course I wish good luck to all the foreign players who work in our Premiership.

I am not that much of a football fan, but I watched the Argentina/Korea match. I think Argentina is the leader in the group. Do you think it will play with Germany? I didn't watch Mexico/France. What was the match like?

In spite of sharp criticism Argentina is doing its best! I can't say the team fulfils itself completely, but... And I think you are right saying Germany may win.
Oh, Mexico/France...Where is France?! I was disappointed. Mexico managed to make use of the rival's mistakes. It seems French team is on the verge of collapse! I hope it'll rehabilitate itself. But maybe it's time for new leaders, who knows.

As you imagined, Argentina will play with Germany and no doubt this will be an exciting match!

No, it's a regularity, C.Ronaldo is good but he has no response from his mates. Portugal probably has no chance to win the Mundial.

Oh, I expected more from Brazil! Maybe they are really too aged. But I was surprised by North Korea! They reminded me of Inter (in the match against Barca) a bit. They were not just defending themselves but trying to play their game!
And what do you think about Portugal? Was it just bad luck?

I really liked Italy yesterday!! They seemed highly motivated. That's a pity they didn't win but they managed to brace themselves and prove they are fighters! And their rivals were also worthy.
Concerning Germany I should say they were the first to show an exciting and confident game !

And I didn't like Italy. This is not the team we saw in 2006. Neither have I liked Brazil. I dissaoprove of Dunga's tactics completetly.
Today let's look at Spain.

What do you think of the match between Italy and Paraguay? Why dd Italy equalise the game, after all? Why did Paraguay fail to keep leading the match? In your opinion, which team played better? I liked the match, it was so electric! The teams really worked and gifted the spectators a real show! Our national team could never play any better, definitely so.

After having watched the matches so far, only Germany and the Argentina are really good. Looking forward to Italy and Brazil now.

I have a gut feeling that Germay will win. A lot depends on in which groups they will play.

Well, Germany is a favourite in its group. Stability is their main feature but it's a great pity that Michael Ballack won't play!
