The Golden Mask Award for best stage performance this year was awarded to Moscow’s Vahtangov Theatre for the performance of the play "Uncle Vanya". This was announced on Friday evening at the awards ceremony. The play was written by Anton Chekhov and directed by Rimas Tuminas. Best dramatic performance went to Peter Fomenko for the play "Triptych" by Pushkin. Andrey Moguchev was named best director for the play Izotov at the Alexandrinsky Theatre.The prize for best actress went to Olga Yakovleva, and for best actor to Igor Gordin.
