June 6 suggested as Russian Language Day.
Delegates from 34 countries took part in the international conference of Russian-speaking people in Malta. The participants suggested June 6 as the World Day of Russian Language. The conference focuses on promotion of Russian language and culture and all kinds of assistance to Russian-speaking population worldwide.
I always wonder how foreigners learn Russian. It’s very difficult, really. I think even Asian languages with all their hieroglyphs are not as tricky as our mother tongue.
