This little colt is still helpless and has to seek for protection of his mother. Though usually horses are held either as a transport vehicle or as work force, or (which is more likely with racy ones) as a source of income, communication with these gorgeous creatures stands not on the last place. Horses are sometimes called a means of socialization for children.
