This picture was taken in Saransk from the big wheel. In the background, you can see some modern buildings of the city. I find this photo really amazing (especially because of the fountains at the bottom of the picture and because of the clear blue sky on the top of the picture).
I have been to Saransk once. And I can say that it is an incredible city! I haven't visited most of the sights yet. But I has already visited a museum of S.Erzya. He was a famous mordvinian sculptor and his sculptures, which are very mysterious, were mostly made of special kind of wood. Also, I have seen St.Fedor Ushakov Cathedral which is fabulous. My friend says that Saransk is a beautiful city! The architecture is nice and the views are fantastic. Since it is not far from Ryazan, I would like to go there in my car and tour the city for a day or two. Do you know any famous sights in the city?
