I agree with you all. That's why I've uploaded this video here. To my mind, the more understandable the issue is - the better. The less I understand - the less motivation I have to continues my studies. I've also noticed one interesting phenomenon: if I am explained something in a simple way, I will definitely remember it. But if something is given to me in complicated notions, I may understand the idea but at the same time I am likely to forget everything very soon.
The video is simple and interesting. I agree with my groupmates. I remember my school years and lessons on economy or physics. It was terrible. I always have a question: why do we have to learn everything in the most difficult way instead of watching such videos for example? By the way this presentation is really good for any economic lesson, but still it's useful in our everyday life for common people (not economists).
“It is a very useful video because as MissJane said, sometimes we open a book or start watching a movie on this or that topic, and finally after watching or reading a lot, we realise that we cannot understand a single thing” And sometimes it happens that we HAVE understood everything we've just read, but when it comes to “explain it to somebody using your own words” we... fail. But I can say that after watching this video I'll REALLY be able to explain to anybody what CPI is, what Price index is, how we compare CPI in current year and base year and what it is for. Yes, this video really TEACHES us. Thanks a lot)))
It is a very useful video because as MissJane said, sometimes we open a book or start watching a movie on this or that topic, and finally after watching or reading a lot, we realise that we cannot understand a single thing. That is why we also need such things that can help us to learn some material better and to diagest some information in a way that is clear to us. So thanks a lot for the video that can definitely make everyone's knowledge on economics deeper.
Such videos can easily teach basic economics to everyone who at least can see and hear. Actually this is an outstanding thing just because it is simple. To explain in a simple way is a great work and even a greater talent. When you open a book on economics (law, physics, etc.), you are likely to find hundreds of hardly comprehensible terms which have even more complicated definitions full of references to other terms and definitions. After that you're going to face a beautiful thing: term A is term B, which is both term C and term D that as a whole are term A! And you try to understand whether it is you who are stupid or the matter is in the book. But anyway, this is called a higher education.
