To my mind, this video is very actual today...There are a lot of couples which can`t have children.It`s a real problem,which can destroy a family.But people try to avoid this grief..Many of them adapt children, and the others ask God to give them a child. And I think, if the couple real believes in God`s power, he`ll necessary give them this gift.
To tell the truth i think it is fate, when people cant bear a child. They should think. Maybe it will be better for them to adopt someone? I know a couple whom is told that they could never have their own baby and they adopted a child. In 2 years they had 2 children - adopted and their own.
I believe that icons and praying as it help people to give birth to a child. When I was in Spain I visited Monserrat Mountain and I saw how many people asked Black Madonna for a child. The most interesting fact is that their requests won’t be unheard.
There are two things in this video that strike me greatly. First of all, it is the looks of the holy statue – in fact it resembles a pagan idol or statuary typical of early times rather than a Christian statue. The second thing is the jewels and other expensive items hanging beneath the miracle-working sculpture. My opinion might seem too strongly-worded but to my mind the gratitude to God for His mercy should not manifest itself in material things but in your faith, prayers and full hope for God’s divine intervention.
This story is a real story about how miraculous a divine embodiment can be. The fact here is that people beleive in the miracle and the miracle happens. Isn't it the whole idea of the religion? Salvation is in beleiving. Childless couples start to believe more and find salvation in the form of having a chance to concieve a child. It is a great power of self-persuasion, which lies in the religion and can work wonders. It doesn't matter how things really stand, what matters is what it brings in the end.
When a couple can not conceive a child it can even destroy a family. Sometimes when you want a baby too much you forget about your partner and sex takes place for only one reason – to become pregnant. Psychologists say that if the idea becomes obsessional there is no hope for a good result. And this statue gives the hope. People just shift the load and becomes free from obsession. This is an explanation for those who do not believe. But orthodox Christians say: “If you do not believe – just come and see” and a great amount of jewelry proves it.
I think that miraculous icons are a real sign of the divine goodness in our world. Speaking about the healing icons helping childless couples, I should say that it's a sign of God's will. More than two thousands years ago He desired to give birth to His divine Son. I think, everybody knows that that was the virgin birth. So now these miraculous icons influenced by the hand of God follow His will and help common people to get babies. I doubt that this kind of child's conceiving can be called innocent, but why not? A man or a woman having problems with reproduction can't conceive a child. And if a woman suddenly becomes pregnant, so who is so-to-say responsible fot this? Who has breathed life into the dead seeds? The only answer will "God" untill people find some other scientific explanation.
I also like this video very much. It is very warm and positively charged. I suppose that it teaches us not to give up. Never. I was mostly surprised by the number of the jewellery items (only "a small part of the gifts left by grateful believers"). So, I tend to believe that even non-religious people turn to God when they get into such life situations they can't solve themselves.
What a heartwarming piece of niews! In less than three minutes a detailed story of how and why people kneel down in front of the Statue of Holy Mother in hope of a devine miracle. I understand that miracles are holy acts for those who, for one reason or another, have not yet internalized the truth of faith. Those who have do not need miracles because they believe and do not wait for miracles as proof of God's power!
