Today we can`t image that religion is without icons. Our life are full of events and we memorize these events by means of images. icons are difficalt and imaing art, to my mind. Almost few people have a gift to create icons.these art helps us to realize religion, it gives an opportunity to find hope inside and believe in God. For many people religion is a meaning of existence. Icons are the symbols of Bible and interpritation of understanding of Bible...
I believe in God and icons play a big role in my life. These are the symbols of the Faith in God. Any religion has it's own idea if God and respectively their own icons. And the only thing which unite all the nations and religions is the faith of God.
In my own opinion, any religious person can't imagine his life without icons, because they are a significant manifestation of his faith. They help people be sure that we are not alone, that we are not helpless, that we can hope, believe. The faith is able to make wonders, but at the same time a lot depends on a person, because only true faith can change your life. Some people can go to the church, thinking that everything'll be all right. They are convinced that it's enough, but the most terrible thing is that their thoughts may be false, mean and so on. It means that it's necessary to be a human who knows what love, kindness, gratitude, sincerity, sympathy and compassion are. Then you can hope that you are really not alone.........
To my mind, icons are very significant as symbols of our faith in God. Faith can save people in the moments of despair. Besides, some people say that icons are inspired by great amount of positive energy that helps people. Some people even recovered from very serious illnesses with the help of icons.
The interior of the church looks very much similar to our Russian churches, but the clothes of Father George are absolutely different, why? My first impression was that he is a catholic priest. Seagull, can you comment on it?
