I did like the video – it's a simple but creative way to show how people's means of communication have developed. And I do agree with you, girls. What is waiting for us in the next.. let me say, 10 years? Will we be able to cope with all the new technologies? Really, I do like trying to imagine our future life...
The most peculiar thing about the history of means of communication is that it took humankind approximately 3 billion years to invent a telephone! (according to different sources the figure is different, and no one can say when the human being exactly appeared). And it was within a century that people came up with the idea of the Internet and space voyages! It seems the speed of the development is in fact a geometric increase; we can only speculate about the awaiting changes in the sphere of communication.
yes, these thoughts can't but bother us. Sometimes I think that when I grow older and become a grandmother (difficult to imagine actually) my grandchildren will say I'm too old-fashioned and understand nothing in modern technologies... And if it really happens... Then some great technological breaks-through are waiting for us! My Granny, for example, had to walk 8 km to get to school, they had no electricity or running water at home... And now I can sit at home and freely chat with people from abroad having only one small device (that's mobile phone, of course)... What will our future be like?!
well..I suppose in a few years this video will become "longer" as the means of communication are being developed all the time. But I agree with Alexey, it's quite a nice video about history of the "development" of communication.
