In communicating with people action is the most important thing because verbally we can do everything, but when it comes to action, we often fail. And of course our actions must follow our words.
I adore what Mark Twain said: "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug". This evidently speaks of him as a master of his words. How precisely he formulated this comparison! Though the words we say are not as significant as our intonation and body language, we shouldn't repel the fact that the more adequate our speech is, the more successfully we begin to communicate.
When I watched this video a week ago I left a comment to it. But then my Internet connection collapsed and everything disappeared! But!!! I was also speaking about this saying of Mark Twain. Having come across it, I've remembered another saying, familiar to all of you "Style is using proper words in proper places" (J. Swift). So... Mark Twain does have a style...
I like the idea that actions are better than words. This works especially while speaking about our government. They always speak much and do almost nothing.
I like this idea too. Actions are always more important than words. A person will DO or TRY to do everything if you are important for him, and a person will PROMISE to do everything, if you are not
