hm, honestly speaking, I am an atheist, and I'm happy to hear, that not all of you would hate me
what is atheism? I can't answer, but the believers i asked couldn't explain me what their faith is and why the believ.
Why do I not believ personally? Well, look at the faith:it's believed that there is an invisible man who watches you every second of your life. He wants you to live according to his ten rools, and if you do not, he will sent you to hell to burn and suffer forever. At the same time he is kind and forgiving. Sounds stupid, doesn't it?
Than, the believers don't want to listen about other religions. When I'm asking "Why is your religion the true? Why not buddism or something?"-no one can answer.
And at last, maybe it's one of my ways not to be usual, not to show any herd behaviour.
I think that the key of understanding, what faith is, is that people want to believ that no matter how sad or cruel their life is, everything will be fine at the end. People want to have, they need to have some "big daddy" who will watch after them, who will protect them, who will help them and reward them.
But all of these are the thoughts of a young kid and you may not listen to it...

You do understand that these are not thoughts of a young kid. You provide quite reasonable arguments for your ideas and manage to prove them.
I also think that if God really exists He is one for all. There is one God for all the people leaving on Earth, no matter how they call Him. But as far as different religions claim sometimes opposite things it's quite obvious that they exclude each other. It means that religious theories have a humane origin, not divine.

You are lying to yourself! Believers and non-believers are from different walks of life. They may be knowledgeable or not, full of stereotypes or not. I have spoken to lots of priests and church people and found out that they are all different, to the same extent as common people!
What you write proves that you are not an atheist at all! Atheism is just another form of knowledge about the world that exludes existence of a supreme being or holy spirit!
But Theism includes a supreme being and science, the material and immaterial, the technical and the spiritual!
Your explanations about Hell, invisible man, big daddy, ten commandemends and the like show that you have never asked yourself religion-related questions and have never looked for answers and have never talked to believers!
Religion never denies knowledge and science. But you seem to be denying all. If I followed your logic, I could ask you why you believe in technical progress, then; hasn't it made a lot of people suffer? But this is a stupid question because it is like calling a spade a bad thing because it is not a TV set!
Talking about religion and faith requires a mind that is ready to learn, to explore, to think, to observe, to compare, to analyze...

Do I have to talk to believers to understand I'm atheist? Hm, yes I do, you are right. My mother is a believer. Everytime I see her praying I can't find any logic in it.
Religion doesn't deny knowledge and science? That was why practically all of the medieval scientists were executed. Remember, religion says "No" to Darvin's theory.
And yes technical progress has made lots of people suffer. So the humanity will be destroyed by itself. That's why I can call it a self-destructing formation.
I already have analyzed and compared different religions, but I didn't find any close to me. I don't see any sence to believing in something that has no proofs. Every believer I asked to explain his religion and why he believes, said something like that:"It can't be explained. You just must believe.." I can't just believe. I don't pray. I don't go to church. I don't have god inside me. I don't believe. Why are you saying I'm not an atheist?

There are many people who are atheists and whom I love. I'm pleased to think that my love is one of a Christian. But at the same time, I don't find anything offensive in people who reject the existence of God. At times they turn out to be more loyal, faithful and spiritual than some believers are.

I dont like those people who are atheists. But I understand that it is a unique choice for everybody to believe or not in God and we cant agitate. But I know that my personal point of view is To believe in God and i tried not to penetrate in any other point of view.

I don’t like those believers who insist that God exists and atheists are devil’s servants. Religion is a matter of choice. In this video the author gave a definition of the word “atheism”: it is full and reasonable and I like it, but by the way atheists do not believe in God because of lack of evidences. Are there any evidences that love exists? It is just in your heart and soul; you can’t prove it by something material.

It's very pleasant to see that all of you, dear groupmates think exacly the same as I do)) I relly don't see anything bad and immoral about atheism - it's just another form of faith, and does not mean having no faith at all

Well, the vido is rather interesting. As for me I respect both atheists and believers. It's a personal matter I think.

I tend to think that atheists (defining as people who have no faith at all) do not exist. Every person believes in something. Atheists reject God but I am sure there is something else what they are devoted to.

Actually, this definition is incorrect. The very word "Atheist" is of Greek origin, Greek "atheos" meant "godless", that's why "atheist" is just a person who rejects the existence of God. "People who have no faith at all" should be defined by means of another term.

I'm also quite tolerant to atheism because, to my mind, religion must be an individual choice. It should be up to us to choose what to believe in. And whether to believe or not at all.
There is also a term "scientific atheism". It means that those who know science understand that everything has its scientific, not divine nature. Even those things that seemed to be really miracles. At the same time, not all mysteries have been explored yet. And there will always be an opportunity to believe, not to know.

Yes, during the centuries the notion “atheist” had negative connotation. Actually, even today I meet people who regard this word as the synonym to “devil”))) a great deal of other people tend to interpret this term as “a person who is morally defected, has no faith and no values”. Oh, all these definitions are as ancient as the Holy Office. Modern atheist is just a person who rejects personified god. It's just a person who has another believes – in his own powers and abilities and doesn't wait for divine help and protection. Everything is simpler than believers tend to think...
