I`m against euthanasia too. It`s awful. Nobody can take somebody`s life away!!!!Only God can do it!There are a lot of doctors today, who can make the wrong diagnosis, that`s why we can really KILL the person...So I`m absolutely against euthanasia. We must believe in the happiest future in any case....
In my opinion euthanasia is a rather cruel act and I'm against it. Peiple should believe in the happy future. There're a lot of cases when doctors make a diagnosis which is wrong. I really believe that love and care can help a person to overcome any illnesses.
After all the arguments "against', I'm still for euthanasia. Yes, it violates the human right to live. Yes, it obliterates the Christian dogma "Don't kill (yourself)". Yes, it is accepted as unethical in many societies. But is it better to suffer? I'm sure those who saw their relatives dying will agree. If we are born to live and reduplicate the good, then it is unjust and immoral to make us suffer.
Sometimes when people say that they will never accept euthanasia and that they will do everything to make their dearest and nearest live as long as they can, even when there's no hope for recovery and every new day brings more pain, people behave extremely egoistic. when one's life seems more like an existence full of sufferings, when a person is not a human any more, but a vegetable, being unable to think, to feel, to act consciously... it is a tragedy. But when his/her relatives have to share these sufferings day by day without any hope.. It's even more cruel. People should understand that in situations when one's life is even worse than death euthanasia can be the only way to save a person...
"...families whose loved ones have undergone euthanasia rather that died a miserable death cope much better..." Guys, what's this? Does this mean that we should kill people in order not turn their relative's brain? This reminds me about natural deaths of our close people. People who have lost their relatives or close friends sorrow because they are staying here alive and alone. As for me, I don't care about relatives. The fact is whether an incurable really wants to undergone assisted dying him/herself or not.
I suppose you've failed to get the idea itself. In the video the ethical side of the problem is under discussion. So, people usually vote against euthanasia claiming that it is inhuman. But as some survey has proved, families that have faced euthanasia rather can cope with that. And you should never forget about the material side of the problem as well. Of course, you'll do everything to give your loved ones a tiny chance to live a bit longer. But what if already have nothing to give up? What if you are already bankrupt? What if there is no chance for a person to recover? What if everybody is suffering? The problem is not as simple as it may seem. Killing is bad. But is undergoing constant unbearable pain better?
I am also against euthanasia. But the thing I like in this video is that it really works. I mean, it makes me think. The idea is not only expressed. Arguments are provided to support it. And when watching this video I've thought for a while that maybe I'm mistaken. Maybe I should really change my attitude to euthanasia.
