I don't know whether she is right or wrong, but it seems that schools starting to use digital means of communication more and more.

Did YOU REALLY see those broad smiles on the students' faces?! Have you ever been overwhelmed with such emotions while reading an article in Wikipedia, for instance? It's a fake. Students sitting by twos and threes and fours around one laptop grinning unbelievably and pointing at the screen? Are they studying law? Or probably higher algebra? It's a nonsense. WHAT, I ask, are they laughing at? I'd rather kill myself if I learned this is our future.

I'd like to comment upon the idea I like most of all, "Digital learners prefer to learn just in time rather than just in case". That's the weak point of our educational system. We learn a lot of information "just in case". Of course, there can be no Extra-knowledge. But at the same time students should be motivated to study. they should understand why they need to learn this or that. The information should be relevant, up-to-date, suitable for concrete learners and for the concrete period of time.

This video is a good example that can clearly show us how today's learners are oriented. The demands of pupils' of this time are absolutely different from those once that pupils had decades ago. Hence the means of education should also be different. High-technologies take the first place and global education simply can't ignore them. Anyway computers, i-phones and many other things give much more opportunities than a tape recorder. With their help teachers are able to provoke creative thinking in their pupils' minds, use visual teaching methods. They ARE one of the means of global education indeed.
