Bringing up comes from the very childhood and a lot of factors influence it. But the main thing is a company where a child exists. Parents should help their child to choose a good way of life if they want their child to be happiest.

I think there is another point that should be understood here - you should realize how do you look and what do you wear and change your outward in accordance with the place and company. It's OK to be a goth at a gig, but it's not OK to look like Marlyn Manson at the university)) BTW there are several girls in our uni who doesn't comprehend it)

It is a sign. When a teenager's main objective is to come up with her/her appearance in order to represent the human qualities, it is a s-i-g-n.... A sign of superficial understanding of what a human is. However, it is not a question of what to wear and what to look like, but the question of inability to show yourself in a different way.

We all see different things. As for me I agree with 8davids8. This vedeo shows how diverse modern teenagers are. Yes, sometimes they are confused, but this problem concerns also their parents.
"How to express your position through your appearance without being stereotyped?" I think one should express his/her position through his/her view on life and words, but not only being obsessed with his/her clothes.

Well, isn't this video out of thin air? I mean is it really important?

Teens usually pay a lot of their attention to the way they look. And as far as the desire to be distinguished is one of the leading in adolescence, they spend hour and hours, days and days, experimenting and choosing their own style. It is also typical of every teen to regard himself as a member of certain group and here we come across teen subcultures, their styles and customs. How to position yourself as a member of this or that subculture but at the same time reveal your own personality? That's one of the questions teens usually face. At the same time people around them shout that one's clothes is of no importance, while your personality is. It doesn't matter how you look, it matters what you think/feel/do. Too many contradictions, don't you think so? Teens are puzzled, confused, perplexed. And that's only one side of the coin.
For me the video is not about teens' styles and teens' preoccupation about the way they look and stuff they wear. It's about labeling and judging by appearance. Teens may experiment with their style, but one day they will find themselves entrapped by their own public image. No matter who you really are, people are always judging by the way you look and therefore teens can become victims or their look. How to express your position through your appearance without being stereotyped? Should one look like a mediocre in order to avoid being labeled?
As you see, so many question arise, when one REALLY TRIES TO THINK.

Well, isn't this video out of thin air? I mean is it really important? Teenagers have always been concerned about what they wear. Still one point to be understood here - in general, important is not how you look outside, but how you look within.

I think you've got the idea of the video too plain. It's not as simple. I don't think that the video is aimed at showing us how teens are changing their clothing styles. The idea is that teenagehood is the time when adolescents try to understand who they really are. They try on various social roles, styles of behavior, clothes - but they are confused. This period of life is among the most difficult ones as one is perplexed and puzzled. And this feeling of being lost somewhere in this life can last for whole years!
