Well, I agree with 8davids8. In Europe or the USA parents have more possibilities to be on the same level of digital development with their kids. BTW, the question arises: whether it's necessary that parents can control their children in the Internet or not?

Indeed. Is it so vital to know what web-sites your children visit and what they are surfing the Net for? Isn't it like willing to learn what they think about? For me, the Internet and some kinds of activities we do there are for sure our privacy. Imagine a teenage looking for a colourful postcard to send his girlfriend via the I-net. Would you like to observe it and read what he has written to her?
Another thing is when teens start growing up and it happens very often that they visit the sites containing obscene materials. And still would you like to know that your son/daughter has a habit to go there from time to time?
My thoughts have always been close to the following line: if adolescents surf in the Internet something they are afraid to ask their parents, then the link between the generations becomes weaker and more insignificant.

As far as Russia I think parents can;t track their kids' activity on the Internet. Just because they don't know how to do it or where to to start. How many parents of yours are really able to track you online?
